Narrated by Academy Award® winner Jeff Bridges, Dream Big: Engineering Our World is a first of its kind film for IMAX® and giant screen theatres that will transform how we think about engineering. From the Great Wall of China and the world’s tallest buildings, to underwater robots, solar cars and smart, sustainable cities, Dream Big celebrates the human ingenuity behind engineering marvels big and small, and reveals the heart that drives engineers to create better lives for people around the world.
“Visceral 3D thrills…The film is sure to pique grad-schoolers; interest and encourage research and experimentation. Its what-if mix of physics, imagination and goodwill is an exhilarating conversation starter.”
-Sheri Linden, The Hollywood Reporter
“If there’s anything this film reminds me of, it’s just how impossible it seems to build something great from nothing but an idea and some work power… But Dream Big shows these objects as they’re built – from a skeleton to concrete skin – and it’s glorious.”
-April Wolfe, LA Weekly
“This IMAX documentary does an epic job of inspiring young viewers to realize the importance of engineering to society – and perhaps even pursue it. Dream Big packs quite a punch and, particularly for girls, is an inspiring example of why we need to invest in STEM education. A+ for Educational Value.”
“Majestic shots...Hopefully many future engineers will be sitting in the front row, inspired by the 50-foot-tall engineers on the screen in front of them.”
-Matt Blitz, Popular Mechanics
“Dream Big is sure to inspire your future innovators!”
“When engineers are superheroes...Academy Award-nominated filmmaker Greg MacGillivray majestically engaged the great outdoors in such documentaries as Everest, The Living Sea, Dolphins, and National Parks Adventure. Now he goes inside the human mind to explore how we make the seemingly impossible possible.”
-Kevin Crust, The Los Angeles Times
Dream Big is accompanied by an unparalleled array of exhibits, events and educational programs to take the film from visceral viewing experience to fully interactive educational movement.
